FWA 260.100 is a white one-component base coat on water base that is well appreciated for its easy application and its fast drying time. Tannins are water soluble acids that are naturally present in wood. They can easily go through the dried coating film and reach the surface. They are responsible for the unpleasant appearance of yellow-grey stains on coating surface. The specific formulation of FWA 260.100 blocks the surface migration of tannins and prevents their emersion.
It’s suggested at least two coats of primer to achieve a perfect stop of tannins emersion.
